"No matter who you are, no matter where you are on life’s journey, you are welcome here".

Caring for and helping others is a basic tenant of our faith.  The actions listed below have been taken in service to others.

  • Prepare meatloaves for Dorothy Day Hospitality House for five Sundays during the year
  • Collect food, plastic bags and egg cartons for the Daily Bread Food Pantry
  • Provide CVS and Dunkin Donuts gift cards to Bethel Social Services for sponsored families
  • Assemble Thanksgiving Food Bags; some given to Dorothy Day Hospitality House and some given to Bethel Social Services
  • Provided funds for the Nativity Scene in downtown Bethel
  • Assembled donated and purchased back-to-school supplies in back packs for children in need
  • Three local church special offerings with proceeds going to Bethel Social Services, the Connecticut Food Bank, and Operation Fuel
  • Four United Church of Christ special offerings for Neighbors in Need, One Great Hour of Sharing, Strengthen the Church, and Veterans of the Cross
  • Annual Senior High Youth Group mission trip
  • Sunday School offerings in support of the Heifer Project and St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital

New volunteers are always welcome and new service projects are always being considered.
