All members and interested non-members are invited to take part in activities that are of interest to you.  By working together, we serve God, the church, and the local and wider community.  Participation benefits others and provides rewarding experiences.  Just let the Pastor or a member know of your interest.  Some of the opportunities for becoming involved are noted as follows:

Participation with Time and Effort

·         Interested in becoming a member?  We offer new member orientations at various times throughout the year where you can learn about the church and its history, meet some of the members, take a tour of the Sanctuary and Parrish House and learn more about opportunities to serve and support the church.  Please talk to the Pastor if you are interested.

·         For members, consider serving on a Board or Committee that works in an area of your interest

·         Volunteer to be a Lay Reader for a Sunday morning service

·         Host the refreshment time after the Sunday morning service

·         Contribute food items for use by local food banks

·         Prepare specified foods for use in local soup kitchens

·         Assist with special projects or events such as a fundraiser or Bethel Community Earth Day

·         Participate in the Brews and Chew adult fellowship

·         Assist with Vacation Bible School

·         Become an adult assistant with the Junior High or Senior High Youth Groups

·         Volunteer as a nursery monitor

·         Become a Sunday School teacher; training and educational materials are provided

·         Join the Senior Choir

·         Participate in adult bible studies

·         and many others

Participation with Financial Support

-         Support the general operation of the church

·         Support special offerings such as Neighbors in Need and One Great Hour of Sharing

·         Support specified activities such as Mission/Outreach and the Building Fund

·         Support active projects such as Bethel Community Earth Day and the SHY Mission Trip
