First Congregational Church of Bethel

“For even the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give His life a ransom for many”

(Mark 10:45)

There are many ways in which you can become involved in the life of the church - by joining one of our boards and committees, or participating in our daytime or evening bible studies or by being active in our community outreach opportunities.   Among our community outreach efforts are our participation in Dorothy Day Hospitality House  and Daily Bread Food Pantry in Danbury, and the Bethel Community Earth Day event.

We also have 2 youth groups; Senior High Youth group (SHY) is for students in grades 9-12 and our Middle School youth group for students in grades 6-8. These groups provide the youth of our church many opportunities for fellowship and outreach to those in need. Each summer SHY goes on a week long Mission Trip departing Bethel after Sunday services and returning Friday night. Past year mission trips included missions to the Cumberland Mountain area of Tennessee, Simply Smiles South Dakota reservation, Washington, DC, and Maine.
